BUYING GUIDE

HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT MATTRESS

On average, a person spends a third of his or her life sleeping. During sleep, physical functions are restored. Poor quality and insufficient sleep can compromise our physical and mental health. These problems can be avoided if we take care in choosing a good quality bed, especially a mattress. Although there is no universal guide to choosing a bed, here are some important points to think about before buying your new bed.

WHAT IS THE BEST MATTRESS?

We recommend choosing the right mattress in person. Given the individual needs of each of us, it is important not to underestimate the choice and not to rely only on general recommendations. We choose the right mattress according to our weight and height, the position in which we sleep and, last but not least, our personal preferences - whether we prefer natural materials or are allergic and whether we prefer to sleep on a harder or softer mattress.

Here are some basic points that every customer who wants a good night's sleep should make clear before choosing a mattress. Below you will find some basic advice on how to choose a good quality mattress, for more detailed information see each of our showrooms.

MATTRESS SIZE AND DIVISION

  • according to the height of the person - here we use a relatively simple rule that the length of the mattress should be 20 cm higher than your height. Our company, like most manufacturers of quality mattresses, will provide you with a custom-made mattress in any size (the largest mattress King Koil supplied in Europe was 240×240 cm).
  • split mattresses or mattresses in one piece? Unfortunately, there is no simple answer to this question. Visit one of our showrooms to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of split or joined mattresses.

TYPE OF MATTRESS

  • preference for natural materials
    • horsehair
    • camel wool
    • natural latex
    • Cashmere
    • Silk
  • Anti-allergenic mattress
    • mattress without natural materials suitable for allergy sufferers
  • height of the mattress - the most important thing is of course to choose the mattress that will suit you best, but you must not forget about the correct height of the bed which should be about 60-65 cm (depending on the height of your body). In our showrooms we will be happy to show you how to know the correct bed height.

MATTRESS HARDNESS

  • soft ( SOFT )
  • medium ( MEDIUM )
  • hard ( FIRM )

The firmness of the mattress depends not only on personal preference but also on the weight of the sleeper. The range is slightly different for each mattress, but on average it is recommended for weights up to 75 kg SOFT, up to 110 kg MEDIUM and up to 140 kg FIRM.
In the case of harder mattresses, it is possible to purchase TOPPER (The topper softens the mattress, complements the natural materials and can connect two mattresses.

SLEEP POSITION

  • on the back - any choice
  • on the side - mattress with 5 zones. Springs divided into 5 zones adapt better to your body. Each zone contains springs of varying firmness that work on pressure points, releasing them and aligning the spine to its natural position.
